Ford Kuga (12 - present)

The look of the car and the driving dynamics make this stand out from the crowd. It doesn’t look quite as muscular as the outgoing model and it has shrunk a bit in size. But it hasn’t lost any of its practicality. There are some clever, optional, additions such as the electric tailgate that opens when you swipe your foot under the back bumper. Ideal when your arms are full of shopping. The interior has improved, with comfortable seating and a dashboard laden with dials and instruments ready to showcase some cutting-edge technology. The engine line-up comprises two diesels with a petrol on its way later this year. The diesels are both 2.0-litre, one of 138bhp and the other 161bhp. The benchmark 0-60 can be completed in 10.6 and 10.4 seconds respectively.
