Ford Galaxy (06 - present)

It is still as practical as ever – with a wonderful cabin – and it better than its rivals. Gone is the slightly boxy look and here is the more sleek outline. Inside is as spacious, comfortable and refined as ever. The central console looks more upmarket and there is much more standard equipment. As you would expect, it handles extremely well and feels planted on the road and the ride quality has been improved too. Like the previous model, there is a good range of engines, the pick of the bunch being the 1.8 TDCi. It develops 123bhp, 285nm of torque, has a top speed of 114mph, can do 0-60 in 11.4 seconds, and returns around 45mpg.
